  • Redding Beer & Wine Festival

    INFORMATION AND RULES SHEET FOR SCAC ARTISTS: Applications Due Set 9

    * All work must be designed and/or hand-crafted and sold by the Artist.

    * A review committee will jury art/craft work.

    * Artist may sell only those items approved by the committee.

    * There will be no agent or third party selling.

    * Artist must be a current Patron of SCAC.

    * We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone not meeting SCAC standards. Artist selling items not approved by the review committee will be asked to remove the items and will not be invited back.

    We’re on the hunt for artists to feature in our upcoming "Urban, Graffiti & Street Art" Gallery Art Show!

    We invite artists who capture the raw, dynamic energy of urban art, the essence of graffiti, the idea for public art that transforms public spaces, and to express powerful stories through street art, graffiti, and urban-inspired works.

  • 55th International Exhibition

    The CWA 55th International Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years or older. Paintings must be two-dimensional and primarily of watermedia on a paper surface; Yupo and Tyvek are acceptable. Pastel or collage may be used as long as watermedia is the dominant element. No digital media, photography, prints, or reproductions. Source material and composition must be wholly original and not derived from any published images. Any photo reference material must be taken by the artist. Entries must be recent works completed within the last two years, entirely the work of the artist, and not shown previously in a CWA National Exhibition. The selling price cannot be changed after entry. No workshop or class work allowed. Artists who fail to provide an accepted entry are disqualified from the next two CWA International Exhibitions.

    Additionally, the Piedmont Center for the Arts reserves the right to reject the display of any work depicting nude or semi-nude figures or subjects of an extremely macabre nature, due to the regular use of the room for children’s classes.

  • North Valley Art League 's Regional Juried Painting Show Call to Artists

    North Valley Art League announces its Regional Juried Painting Show, October 2-November 2, 2024.

    Juror: Dale Laitinen. Online entries open June 1 - September 7, 2024.

    Open to all artists 18 years or older. Accepted media: oil, oil pastel, soft pastel. acrylic, water media, alcohol ink, drawing media, mixed media, printmaking, collage. All work must be original in concept and execution. $1000 total awards. Entry fees: $35 for 1-3 entries, $10 for each additional entry.     On Saturday, Sept. 7, Artists will line the historic district of Downtown Weaverville to demonstrate their craft AND sell their art.

    This event coincides with the County-wide Yard Sale, so people will be cruising the county looking for bargains. Sept. 7th is also 1st Saturday's Art Walk where in many galleries and businesses will be hosting an Artist's Reception.

    We want our 5th Halloween Art Show to be one for the books, so pull out your bag of tricks and show us what you can do. We want to see your take on Halloween through art.

  • West Coast Biennial Juried Art Exhibition

    Turtle Bay’s West Coast Biennial Art Competition and Exhibition is back for its eighth year! This guest favorite is a wonderful way to see a wide variety of artwork from contemporary West Coast artists.

    This year, former Turtle Bay Art Curator and Director of Programs and Exhibits, Dr. Robyn Peterson, the Director of the Museum of Riverside, is our juror. She will choose between 30 and 50 artworks for the exhibition and award cash prizes of up to $3,000 at the exhibition opening on Friday, January 31, 2025.
