Helena Gelfor
Studied violin performance in Mussorgsky School of Music, St. Petersburg, Russia. Have been teaching music performance since 2005, prepared many students for San Jose Youth Symphony and California Youth Symphony. Performed with Nova Vista Symphony, Winchester Symphony, Saratoga Symphony, served as Concertmaster with Campbell Community Chamber Orchestra. Participated in Community Music Makers bi-annual workshop in San Francisco Davies Hall with Donato Cabrera. Smaller ensembles include Stanford Klezmer Band, Open Embrace International Ensemble, La Orquesta Fusion Tango, Mas Que Nada Brazilian Trio, Nuance String Quartet. Currently performing with Shasta Symphony and Sheine Nechome, a World Music ensemble.

David Short
I have played jazz since high school. I studied with Roger Hogan, which greatly improved my instrumental skills and started me on a pathway to play woodwinds for musicals at schools and at the Cascade Theater. I have performed for touring Musicians at Redding venues, such as The Temptations and Wayne Newton. I was Musical Director for the Broadway Musical - SWING when it was presented at the Cascade. I also write arrangement for jazz groups. I was co-leader for a summer music camp called "Sundial Saxophones" for Middle and High Schoolers, with Jeff Jones. I produced a monthly series of jazz concerts at Old City Hall call "Dave Short's Jazz at Old City Hall" which featured local and regional musicians.

Robin Sample

She owns a portable Yamaha keyboard and a professional Bose sound system capable of reaching an audience of up to 300 people. She has a vast repertoire of music to play from including classical, jazz, pop, country, movie/TV soundtracks and holiday music as well as her improvisations/compositions. She is also available for piano and/or composition lessons (for teens and adults)."
